Set of Six with Matty Davis: Toby King for England!

Drew Darbyshire

Warrington forward Matty Davis is our latest guest on My Set of Six.

We’re asking you, the fans, plus players, coaches and other rugby league personalities to give us their answers to our set of six questions.

Favourite away ground?

I’d say Headingley is definitely up there with St Helens (Totally Wicked Stadium). I had a great win at Headingley with London Broncos at the start of 2019.

Favourite player?

I didn’t grow up watching much rugby league so I’d have to say my housemate Toby King is my favourite player. If he doesn’t get England selection this season it’d be a joke.

Favourite memory?

Winning the Challenge Cup final as underdogs against Saints in 2019. Also, getting promoted to the Super League with the Broncos in 2018.

Worst memory?

Having to play on dual-reg at a few clubs or any injury I sustained.

Best match you’ve seen?

The Super League semi-final between St Helens and Castleford in 2017 is probably one of the best I’ve seen.

Your wish for the future of rugby league?

My wish is that it keeps growing as a sport and that more personalities of players are allowed to be shown in the game to make it more enjoyable and a better spectacle to watch – and for London to be in the Super League.
