Oxford have confirmed that Irish international threequarter Clark McAllister has signed for the club again for 2017.

The 25-year-old, from Banbridge in County Down, Ulster, is keen to snare a place in the Ireland squad at the World Cup in the autumn.

“I settled in well at the club last season, there are some good people there and great spirit in the squad,” he said.

“It’s a real feel good environment with positive attitudes and that’s what I need to be in to reach my ambitions.”

Oxford head coach Tim Rumford is looking forward to working with McAllister again.

“Clark made a good start last season but was unfortunate in that injury kept him sidelined just as he was hitting form,” he said.

“His attitude and work ethic is top notch so we are confident that he’ll get back on his game swiftly.”
