Bradford back-rower Tom Olbison has signed a new four-year deal to keep him at the Grattan Stadium until the end of 2014.

Olbison, 20, joined the club from East Leeds ARLFC and has played in eight of the Bulls’ nine games this season.

He said: “I am delighted to sign a new contract. It’s a big weight off my shoulders so I can just settle down and concentrate on my rugby now. I’ve been here a good few years now and I love it so I had no reason to think about going anywhere else. I’m here for the next few years and I can’t wait.”

Olbison made his debut against Warrington in 2009 and scored his first try for the club against Catalans in a 24-22 defeat last season.

Head coach Mick Potter added: “He’s really stepped up and is starting to make a back row spot his own and he is making himself indispensible. That’s what all players should try and do. I’m very happy for Tom and happy he’s going to be here for the long term.”
