O’Donnell cleared after red card

Huddersfield forward Luke O’Donnell will be available for Sunday’s play-off game at Hull, despite his red card against Leeds on Sunday.

O’Donnell, 31, was dismissed by referee Thierry Alibert for an alleged high tackle on Leeds forward Ian Kirke, which resulted in the game being stopped for more than 10 minutes.

However, the RFL Disciplinary Committee has found O’Donnell not guilty, after video replays showed the incident was a clash of heads.

The Australian has been restricted to just seven appearances for the Giants this season, and last year saw his campaign cut short by a knee ligament injury.
