Nuuausala: Youngsters doing a good job

Wigan’s Frank-Paul Nuuausala believes the club’s youngsters are learning plenty from the additional game time they’ve been getting.

Liam Forsyth, Liam Marshall and Tom Davies all featured against Hull FC last week, while Romain Navarette, Nick Gregson and Joe Bretherton came off the bench during the 20-22 defeat.

“If you want to put on the Wigan jersey then you’ve got big shoes to fill, but I think they’re doing a good job,” Nuuausala told the club’s official website.

“It’s good experience for them – each week they’re getting more comfortable, mature and confident.

“We’re lacking a bit of experience at the moment, but that’s football – it’s only round five so there’s no need for panic stations at the moment.

“We know that when everyone is back and fit then we’ll be alright.”

Wigan visit Leeds on Friday with Liam Farrell, Oliver Gildart and Ryan Sutton back in their 19-man squad.
