North Wales swoop for Adamson

North Wales Crusaders have completed the signing of former Salford centre Toby Adamson ready for their match at home to Oldham Roughyeds on Sunday.

Brought up in Rugby League with the famous Leigh East club, the 22-year old made his Super League debut for Salford against Huddersfield Giants in 2010.

Adamson initially quit the professional ranks to complete his law degree at the University of Liverpool this year, but now this has finished, he has been snapped up by North Wales Crusaders.

His older brother, Luke Adamson, still plays for the Salford City Reds.

North Wales Crusaders’ coach Clive Griffiths said: “Toby trained with us this week and he fitted in well. I’m pleased that he has signed on with us ready for Sunday.

“He’s a undoubted quality player with vast experience and we’re delighted to have on board. We keep looking for these type of players to strengthen the squad. The door is never shut as we want the best team that we possibly can to rise up the ranks.”

Tickets for North Wales Crusaders v Oldham Roughyeds can be bought from the Glyndwr University Sports Centre reception or are available on the turnstiles before the game on Sunday.
