Hull assistant coach James Webster has agreed a new two-year deal at the KC Stadium.

Webster, 32, took up the post midway through last season, joining the club from Widnes, having spent the bulk of his playing career in the UK with Hull KR, before a one-game stint with the Airlie Birds.

He said: “I am really happy to be offered a new deal and I look forward to continuing to work alongside Richard and the rest of the coaching team.

“This is a great opportunity for me to be part of a club that continues to get bigger and better.

“I have really enjoyed my time so far since returning to the club and I feel we have a good young squad here that are capable of achieving good things and that is something I am thrilled to be part of.”

Webster joined Hull KR in 2005 after playing for Balmain Tigers and Parramatta Eels down under.

Head Coach Richard Agar said: “James has a smart football brain and has proven to be a really good fit for us.

“He is hard working, conscientious and trustworthy and has a tremendous passion for the game of rugby league.

“His work ethic is second to none and he is developing very well as a coach.”
