New Fev deal for Welham

Featherstone centre Liam Welham has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

The younger brother of Hull KR‘s Kris, Welham played in Rovers’ heartbreaking Grand Final defeat against Halifax in October, having scored 12 tries in 17 league appearances.

Coach Daryl Powell said: “It’s excellent news that Liam will be building on what he had achieved with us in 2010 next year.

“He adjusted well after his move from Hull KR and improved, with one or two slight dips as the season progressed. Liam is an important member of one of arguably the most exciting back lines in the Championship.”
