Morrison to leave Bulls

Bradford have announced that Australian second rower Glenn Morrison will leave the club at the end of the season.

Morrison, 33, joined the club from Parramatta Eels in 2007 and has made 49 appearances for the club, scoring 21 tries.

However, wrist and rib injuries have restricted him to just eight appearances this term.

Bulls Coach Steve McNamara said: “Glenn has been tremendous for the club both on and off the field and it goes without saying that we wish him every success for the future.

“Decisions on player’s futures are ongoing and the decision to not to offer Glenn another contract was purely a business decision made, we feel, in the best interests of the club.”

News of Morrison’s departure comes days after hooker Terry Newton confirmed he would be moving to Wakefield for the 2010 season.
