Canterbury centre Josh Morris will be sidelined for the next six weeks, after scans revealed a knee problem.

Morris, who scored a spectacular long range try in the Bulldogs’ opening round win over Wests Tigers, has a partial tear to the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

He suffered the injury late in Monday night’s 24-14 win ANZ Stadium.

Morris was named in the Bulldogs line-up to take on South Sydney on Sunday, but will be replaced later this week.
