Morgan Smithies facing tribunal as two more Super League players handed suspensions

Wigan forward Morgan Smithies has been ordered to appear a tribunal, while Huddersfield’s Suaia Matagi and Hull FC’s Joe Cator have picked up suspensions.

Smithies has been issued with a two-match penalty notice by the RFL’s match review panel on a Grade C charge of head-butting in Saturday’s win over Castleford.

He has also been ordered to appear at a tribunal on Tuesday on a Grade D charge of dangerous contact following an incident in the 43rd minute of the match.

Huddersfield prop Matagi has been given a two-match penalty notice on a Grade C charge of dangerous contact in the 58th minute of Sunday’s loss to Hull FC.

Cator of Hull has been issued with a one-match penalty notice on a Grade B charge of dangerous contact in the 45th minute of the same game.
