Moors thanks Puletua for Castleford switch

Junior Moors cannot wait to get stuck into Super League action, with the Samoan international forward having signed on with Castleford for the 2015 season.

The 27-year-old, a powerful back rower, has signed a three-year deal, and will join from Melbourne Storm of the NRL.

The deal was made more attractive to the player because of his close friendship with current Cas man Grant Millington, as well as fellow Samoan international Tony Puletua.

“I’ve got a young family and it’s a big move for me and I’m really excited about joining the club,” Moors said.

“I played footy with Grant Millington in my junior representative days in New South Wales and he’s given the club a good rap.

“I’ve heard only good things about the club’s culture and fans so I’m pretty excited.

“I’m first cousins with Tony Puletua and he’s been in England for a few years; he’ll be there next year as well so having some family over there will be great for me and my family.

“Tony’s had nothing but good things to say about living over there – he’s had a good experience so hopefully it will be the same for me.”

The player is also relishing turning out in front of the Tigers’ passionate fanbase.

“I’ve heard that the Castleford fans are one of the most passionate groups of fans in Super League so it’s a really big attraction for me to go and play for a team like that,” je added.

“I’m a player who likes to get stuck in; I’m comfortable anywhere in the forward pack and I like to get in there and have a crack.

“I just can’t wait to go over there and really get a feel for the game in England and get back to playing some footy.”
