Michael Oldfield and Siliva Havili have signed contract extensions with Canberra until the end of 2020.

Former Catalans Dragons star Oldfield has signed a new two-year deal, keeping him at the Green Machine until the end of the 2020 season.

He scored a hat-trick to help the Raiders beat North Queensland Cowboys last weekend.

On the new deal, Oldfield said: “I’m really enjoying my time here in Canberra and to sign a new two-year deal is great for my career.

“It’s great that Ricky [Stuart] and the coaching staff have given me the opportunity to get into the NRL team over the past few weeks and I’m really enjoying my footy at the moment.”

Tonga star Havili arrived at Canberra after he helped the Mate Ma’a reach the World Cup semi-finals last year.

Canberra’s starting hooker Josh Hodgson was injured for a couple of months at the start of the year and Havili impressed after stepping up to the plate.

Havili is grateful that the Raiders have allowed him to continue his NRL dream.

He said: “Canberra is the best place for me to be in terms of my career and I’m really excited about re-signing with the Raiders.

“Ricky Stuart and the players and staff have really welcomed me into the club and I’m really enjoying being part of this team.”
