Exiles coach Brian McClennan has announced his squad for the International Origin match against England next week.

Warrington captain Brett Hodgson will skipper the side while McClennan has named nine newcomers in his 20, with Zeb Taia, Travis Burns, Michael Dobson, Mickey Paea, Brett Delaney, Chris Bailey, Michael Monaghan, Rhys Hanbury and Harrison Hansen all making the squad for the first time.

McClennan said: “This is a very strong squad – you’ve only got to look at the names of some of the players I’ve had to leave out to see that.

“And there’s no second game this year, so everything is riding on the one match. We’ll be giving it our best shot and England will have to be at their very best to beat us.”

Exiles 20-man squad: Burns, Bailey, Delaney, Dobson, Hanbury, Hansen, Hodgson, Hohaia, Leuluai, Menzies, Monaghan. J, Monaghan. M, Moon, Paea, Puletua, Richards, Soliola, Taia, Waterhouse.

Exiles face England at Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium next Friday.
