Catalans Dragons player Mathias Pala has joined Leigh, the French outfit have confirmed.
The 25-year-old threequarter, who has Italian heritage, has signed a one-and-a-half year deal with the Centurions. A transfer fee has been paid, though the amount has not been confirmed.
“I’m really happy to have this opportunity to Join Leigh,” he said.
“When you are a professional player, you want to play every weekend and that’s why I decide to move.
“There is a great challenge at the Centurions.
“I would like to thank all the fans for their support during my time at the club.”
Catalans head coach Laurent Frayssinous has wished Pala all the best at his new club.
“I’m delighted that Mathias had this opportunity to join Leigh and play week-in week-out,” he said.
“We respect his decision. I wish him, his wife Elodie and his son César all the best for the future.”
