Luke Gale set for lengthy ban after two charges

Luke Gale has been hit with two separate suspensions following Hull’s defeat to St Helens at the MKM Stadium.

The Hull skipper and half-back was sent from the field early in the first half on Saturday.

Charging down a kick, he caught opposition half-back Jonny Lomax with his boot that saw him sent from the field by official Chris Kendall.

He has been charged with a Grade C Other Contrary Behaviour, which will see him miss three games.

The former Leeds man has also been charged with a Grade D Other Contrary Behaviour, and has been referred to the tribunal. He could miss up to eight games for Hull.

Eight players charged in total

A total of eight players have been charged following the latest Super League fixtures.

Huddersfield hooker Danny Levi will miss their next two games. He has been charged with a Grade C Other Contrary Behaviour following their home victory over Wakefield. Ian Watson will also be without star half-back Theo Fages. The France international received a one-match ban for a Grade B Dangerous Contact. 

Castleford’s George Lawler has received a one-match suspension following his side’s defeat at Warrington. He has been charged with a Grade B Shoulder Charge.

Joseph Paulo will miss the next two games for Toulouse with a Grade B Dangerous Contact. Lloyd White received a Grade A Dangerous Contact, but will be available to play.

Konrad Hurrell will be free to play for St Helens. He received a Grade A Dangerous Contact following their win over Hull. Korbin Sims also received the same charge and will be free to play for Tony Smith’s side.
