Hull FC prop Liam Watts has been handed three-match penalty notice for a Grade C headbutt on Dom Crosby while four other Super League players have been banned.

Following a review of round four’s Betfred Super League games, Watts has been handed a three-match penalty notice for headbutting Crosby during FC’s clash with the Wolves last Friday.

Watts’ previous record means he received a penalty notice at the higher end of the range. The prop has until 11am on Tuesday 6 March to challenge the penalty notice.

Warrington Wolves half-back Declan Patton has been referred to Tuesday’s independent operational rules tribunal for a Grade D high tackle on Hull FC’s Bureta Faraimo in the same game at the KCOM Stadium.

New Warrington recruit Sitaleki Akauola has been handed a one-match penalty notice for a Grade B dangerous contact in the same fixture.

Also, FC centre Carlos Tuimavave has received a Grade A penalty notice for dangerous contract but no further action will be taken.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield Giants forward Daniel Smith has been given a one-match penalty notice for Grade B dangerous contact in their defeat to Wakefield Trinity on Sunday.

Wakefield ace Matty Ashurst has been hands a Grade A penalty notice for dangerous contact in the same game, but no further action will be taken in this case.
