Leeds Rhinos are aiming to win the treble, ahead of the start of the new women’s season next month.

Speaking live on BBC Radio Leeds, Sophie Robinson said: “The girls were all disappointed that we missed out in the grand final last year.

“We set the aim at the start of the season to win the treble and we just missed out in the last two minutes. But I do think that has made us ready for this season.

“We now know what it feels like to lose a final and this season we want to try and try doing the treble. We know it’s going to be hard. This is going to be the hardest season ever.”

The Rhinos women are coached by Adam Cuthbertson, who still plays for the male Super League side.

Robinson added: “We’re lucky to have him as a coach.

“He is playing at a top level week in week out and, what the men are doing in the first team he can bring back to us so I think we are really lucky to have him.

“I think it’s good for the women’s game to have him involved too.”
