Leeds Rhinos and Catalan Dragons will wear special kits honouring the Tour de France at the weekend, to mark the start of the iconic race in Yorkshire.

The Leeds kit will be yellow, and mimic the famous yellow jersey worn by the race leader. The Dragons will wear a kit with red polka dots, reminiscent of the jersey worn by the ‘King of the Mountains’ rider in the race.

The Leeds kit will feature the logo of the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity, and a percentage of the funds raised by sales will be donated to them.

“I like it,” said Rhinos skipper Kevin Sinfield.

“Wearing a new kit is exciting for us as players and more importantly we will be playing a small part in raising awareness for Marie Curie and the important work the charity does.”
