Lancashire name Open Age Squad for BARLA Tri Series

Dave Parkinson

Lancashire Open Age head coach Mick Blakeley and assistants Craig Farrimond, Chris Murphy and Lee Rowley have now drawn up their list of players to take on the combined might of Yorkshire and Cumbria.

The county won unprecidented success at all age groups last term and the team think they have picked the right balance this time around with the squad being made up of players right the way through from the National Conference Premier Division through to representatives of the North West Mens League.

Speaking of the selection process, training, and the squad, Mick Blakeley said:

“We’ve run a number of high quality training sessions over the last few weeks and I’d like to thank everyone that has given their time to come down, train and trial. The standards were high which made selection difficult with some good depth across the board. We feel this squad gives us our best chance and myself, Craig, Chris and Lee are looking forward to seeing what they can do.”

The Under 19s and Open Age Tri Series get underway on 5th November against Yorkshire at Stanningley and dependent on the result, Lancashire will then play Cumbria on either 12th or 19th November at Thatto Heath.
