King: Don’t write Wire off

Warrington forward George King says the Wire are out for revenge against Hull FC tonight with the League Leader’s Shield on the line.

Warrington have been beaten by Hull FC three times this year, with the Black and Whites come from behind to defeat them in the Challenge Cup final.

The Wire come into the game beset by injury, but King is confident his side can knock off the Airlie Birds on their home turf.

“Obviously the lads were disappointed after the Wigan defeat in the manner in which we lost it was a hard one to take,” he told Love Rugby League.

“But we’re eager to change all that this week and add a trophy to the cabinet. however it will be a tough test to do so.

“Hull are smashing side and have some good players. They’re a big set of lads and have beaten us three times this year. So we are wanting some revenge.

“We have been hit by injuries but the lads coming in are quality players and it showed against Catalan away when we were stacked with adversity.

“So we know we can do it with who ever is out on that field.”

King believes patience and composure is key to finally beating Hull FC.

“That’s what’s frustrating being so close and not being able to finish it off, but we have to stay patient and compose yourself at key times in matches,” he said.

“We know now what we have to do and will make sure we get it right.”
