Forward Josh Jordan-Roberts has become the 20th player to commit to York for 2020.

Jordan-Roberts, 21, joined the club from Leeds in July 2018 and helped the Knights to the League 1 title in 2018.

He said: “Really pleased to be resigning with the club. I’ve really enjoyed my time with the club since signing mid way through the 2018.

“The club is certainly on the rise and I’m looking forward to what’s to come in 2020 both on and off the field.”

York have done some eye-catching recruitment in the off-season, adding experienced Super League forwards Danny Washbrook and Chris Clarkson, as well as the likes of James Green, Ben Johnston and Will Sharp.

Coach James Ford said: “Josh has the potential to be a good player for York if he is willing to work hard at one or two areas of his game. He’s still very young and has played plenty of first team rugby at a solid level – but as everyone at the club realises we strive for much more than solid.

“The challenge has been set and I’m looking forward to seeing Josh succeed.”
