Joseph gets Bulls chance

Former Hull KR and Swinton hooker Phil Joseph will get his chance to impress Bradford coach Mick Potter on Boxing Day, after he was named in the squad to face Castleford.

Joseph, 26, has played much of his career in the Championships, but started out in Super League with Huddersfield, making 13 appearances in 2004.

The Welsh international has been training with the Bulls as he looks to get another shot at full time rugby, and the triallist has been named in Potter’s 23 man squad for the pre-season friendly on Monday.

He will be joined in the Bulls squad by new signing Manase Manuokafoa, who will make his debut against Ian Millward’s men.

The Squad in full is: Sykes, Ainscough, Platt, Walker, Crookes, Briggs, Jeffries, Hargreaves, O’Brien, Joseph, Olbison, Sibbit, Langley, Manuokafoa, Ball, Addy, Donaldson, Bateman, Murphy, Hawthorne, McAvoy.
