Jansin Turgut will be brought home today after undergoing all of his required surgeries in Ibiza.

The former Salford and Hull FC forward will return to England accompanied by his family and friends on Monday.

Turgut will continue his road to recovery at Hull Royal Infirmary after the Turkey international suffered serious injuries after falling from the third floor of a car park at Ibiza airport in May.

His mum Carole Butler has been by his side for the last three weeks and has been providing regular updates on his health via social media.

On Sunday, she tweeted: “Tonight is our last night on this island.

“I cannot thank everyone in England for all you have done to support us at this very, very difficult time and we are forever in your debt.

“Three weeks ago I made a promise to my boy that I would not leave this island without no matter what.

“Tomorrow [Monday] son, I’m taking you home.”

A fundraising account has been set up to help meet the medical costs of the former Hull FC and Salford star. To donate, click here.
