Jake Webster and Con Mika offered new contracts as Keighley provide squad update

Keighley Cougars have confirmed their departures and retained players ahead of the 2022 League 1 campaign.

Veteran centre Jake Webster and forward Con Mika have both been offered new contracts for the 2022 campaign, the club have confirmed, while seven have departed.

Heading the list of those players leaving the club is Serbia international Jason Muranka, who leaves the club following three seasons at Cougar Park. He scored nine tries in 26 appearances for Keighley.

Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e will now link up with parent club Hull Kingston Rovers for 2022, having signed with them earlier in August before being loaned back out to the League 1 club.

Jack Coventry, Ben Stead; Ryan Wright, Bobby Darbyshire and Morgan Robinson have also left Keighley Cougars.

Head coach Rhys Lovegrove has tied down Jack Miller and Brenden Santi on deals until the end of the 2023 season, while Jack Arnold, Dalton Desmond-Walker, Charlie Graham, Kyle Kesik, Quentin Laulu-Togaga’e, Aaron Levy; Scott Murrell, Dan Parker, Josh Slingsby have all signed new deals for 2022. 

A further 14 players are currently negotiating new contracts, including Webster and Mika.

The other 12 include: Mo Agoro; Wellington Albert; Matthew Bailey; Spencer Darley; James Feather; Billy Gaylor; Josh Lynam; Robert Matamosi; Kieran Moran; Taylor Prell; Aidan Scully; Alix Stephenson.
