14th March 2020, DCBL Stadium, Widnes, England; Coral Challenge Cup Round 5, Widnes Vikings v Swinton Lions : Jack Hansen (6) of Swinton Lions in action during the game

Swinton half-back Jack Hansen has signed a new deal to keep him at the club until the end of 2022.

Hansen, 23, has made 67 appearances for the Lions since making his debut in 2017.

He said: “I’m over the moon to have signed on for another two years. I really see this club going places and I want to be a part of that.

“I’ve been here for close to four seasons now, and every year I feel I have developed and become a better player than the season before. That’s all down to the staff.

“I came to the club struggling for game time and had begun to doubt in my own ability because of that.

“But Stuart Littler showed faith in me and moulded me into the player I am today. He built confidence back into my game which I’m very grateful for, and this was a big factor in why I’ve chosen to stay and remain committed to the club.

“Hopefully over these next two seasons I can prove that I’m a strong, vocal half-back, who can lead this team into a bright future.”
