Hull release Reardon

Hull have released Stuart Reardon after he failed a medical less than a fortnight after signing him from Warrington.

Reardon, 27, has not played since rupturing his Achilles tendon in Warrington’s Challenge Cup defeat by St Helens last May.

He was released by the Wolves earlier this month and was soon snapped up by Hull, despite a well publicised court case.

But now his stay at the KC Stadium has been cut short after failing a thorough medical.

Chief Executive James Rule said: “We obviously feel sorry for Stuart. However, we cannot retain a player after he has failed our rigorous medical examination.

“We wish Stuart well in his future career.”

Reardon is due in Bradford’s domestic violence court tomorrow alongside St Helens stand-off Leon Pryce for sentencing after pleading guilty last month to assaulting his estranged wife.
