Hull KR have will be without half-back Rowan Milnes for the next six weeks after suffering a broken hand in their win over Huddersfield last week.

The 23-year-old sustained the injury in their 28-0 win over Huddersfield at Craven Park last Friday.

“Hull KR can confirm Rowan Milnes will miss the next six weeks after suffering a broken hand in the win over Huddersfield,” the club tweeted.

“We’re with you, Rowan Milnes.”

The Robins, who have won their last six games, have suffered a couple of lengthy injuries to key players in recent weeks.

Earlier this week, the Robins confirmed that full-back Lachlan Coote would miss around a month of action after sustaining a hamstring tear against Huddersfield.

The 33-year-old was forced from the field just seven minutes in to win over Huddersfield on Friday.

“Hull KR can confirm Lachlan Coote will miss the next month of action after sustaining a hamstring tear in last Friday’s game against Huddersfield,” the club shared on social media.

“Speedy recovery, Lachlan.”

Coote, who has represented both Scotland and Great Britain on the international scene, has made nine appearances so far in 2023, scoring twice and kicking 24 goals.

He has announced he will be retiring from professional rugby league at the end of the season.

Hull KR half-backs Rowan Milnes and Jordan Abdull sidelined

The Robins, who sit third on the table, could go level points with league leaders Warrington if they beat Daryl Powell’s side in Round 12 on Friday night.

Wigan currently sit second and host Leeds at the DW Stadium, live on Sky Sports.

England international half-back Jordan Abdull continues to be sidelined through a quad injury sustained during training.

The 27-year-old had enjoyed a fine start to the 2023 Super League campaign, collecting 12 Man of Steel points along the way

“He’ll still be a good five to six-weeks,” Peters confirmed.

“It was a decent tear there, so we just need to take our time with him.

“He’s feeling good, but that’s what happens when you tear your quad and the soreness goes away, you think you’re flying, but you’re not.

“He’s got another five or six weeks to go.”
