Hull grant Kelly compassionate leave

Hull have allowed half-back Albert Kelly to return to Australia temporarily on compassionate leave.

Kelly, 26, joined the club in the off-season from local rivals Hull KR and has been in fine form.

He featured in the 22-all draw with Warrington on Saturday and is expected to return next weekend, though not in time to face Salford in the club’s next game.

A club statement said: “Albert Kelly has been allowed to return home to Australia for a short time on compassionate leave.

“The club would like to extend their best wishes to Albert and his family at this difficult time and ask that fans and the media respect their privacy.”
