A man of the match display from Marc Sneyd inspired Hull to an 18-16 victory over Huddersfield.
Hull got off to a great start as Ratu Naulago scored just seven minutes into the game but Jermaine McGillvary crossed for Huddersfield on the half hour mark.
Andy Last’s side were 10-4 to the good at the break thanks to a Mahe Fonua try late on in the first half.
Huddersfield levelled the score shortly after the second half restart through Matty English but Bureta Faraimo soon went over to put Hull back into a 16-10 lead.
Aidan Sezer scored on the hour mark to bring the score level once more and set up a nervy finish.
But Sneyd added a penalty goal five minutes from time to seal an 18-16 win for Hull at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
