Workington have signed half-back Izaac Farrell on loan from Huddersfield for the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old is a product of the Giants Academy and signed professional terms with the club in 2017.
Farrell, who has represented England at Academy level, has made two Super League appearances this season.
Huddersfield managing director Richard Thewlis said: “With Tom Holmes expected to be ready to play next week and Olly Russell putting pressure on the starting halves of [Lee] Gaskell and [Matt] Frawley, it makes sense to get Izaac some game time in a quality League 1 environment.
“We have an excellent relationship with Workington Town and I’m sure Izaac will be a quality asset for their side.
A Workington spokesperson commented: “Izaac is an exciting talent and will be a great addition to the squad.
“We’re looking to make more signings over the coming weeks but we have to make sure they are quality signings. Izaac certainly fits that requirement.”
