A last-minute try from George Carmont helped Wigan secure a 28-24 victory over Huddersfield in a pre-season friendly at the Galpharm Stadium.nnThe Giants new coach Nathan Brown watched his side surrender a 24-16 lead with just four minutes left on the clock. nnThe home side took advantage of Stuart Fielden‘s yellow card for a late challenge on Luke Robinson, racing into an 18-4 lead at the interval courtesy of tries from from Simon Finnigan, David Hodgson, Michael Lawrence and Paul Whatuira.nnThe Warriors made a bright start to the second period with an interception try from Pat Richards and a Thomas Leuluai effort bringing them to within two points of the Giants.nnDanny Kirmond looked to have sealed victory for the home side in the 72nd minute but a try from Wigan’s new hooker Mark Riddell, who also touched down in the first half, set-up a thrilling finale.nnThe comeback was completed in the final minute of the game as centre Carmont scored the winning try with seconds to spare.
