Henderson praises never say die attitude

London scored five tries in their defeat to Leeds but Broncos coach Andrew Henderson praised his players for challenging their Super League opponents right until the end.

“They capitalized and they took their opportunities well but I thought we finished very strong,” Henderson told Sky Sports.

“We showed that we can play a bit of football, I thought we scored some fantastic tries out there but we just probably gave ourselves too much work to do.

“I felt that we competed hard today it was just disappointing that we didn’t put Leeds under enough pressure.

“I just felt at times we didn’t finish our sets well enough. Leeds didn’t really have to earn the field position today and full credit to them.

“There were some encouraging signs but we’re still in the competition and still have a genuine chance so we’ll just have to regroup and move forward from there.

“We play a good brand of Rugby League that the fans enjoy and I hope that the viewers today enjoyed it.

“I just want to thank everyone that has come down today. The London support, the Leeds travelling support. They have made for a cracking atmosphere and hopefully the viewers at home have enjoyed a good contest.”
