The first Great Britain Elite Performance Squad was announced on Monday, and we want to know who you think should and should not be in Wayne Bennett’s squad.

There were five fresh faces in the Lions squad that were not named in the last England Elite Performance Squad.

Scotland’s Lachlan Coote, Ireland’s Joe Philbin, Wales’ Morgan Knowles and England Knights duo Josh Jones and Ash Handley were called-up to Bennett’s side.

The squad will gather for the first time in Leeds on Tuesday, September 10. They will begin training during the Super League play-off series in early October.

The final 24-man squad will be announced within 48 hours of the Super League Grand Final on October 12, when the NRL-based players will be name as well.

Great Britain Elite Performance Squad: Jake Truman, Liam Watts, Sam Tomkins, Jermaine McGillvary, Jake Connor, Jamie Shaul, Scott Taylor, Ash Handley, Stevie Ward, Jonny Lomax, Tommy Makinson, Mark Percival, James Roby, Luke Thompson, Alex Walmsley, Morgan Knowles, Lachlan Coote, Josh Jones, Reece Lyne, Blake Austin, Josh Charnley, Daryl Clark, Chris Hill, Jack Hughes, Joe Philbin, Stefan Ratchford, Oliver Gildart, Sean O’Loughlin, George Williams.

Some fans feel the likes of Regan Grace, Zak Hardaker, Liam Farrell and Mike Cooper have been hard done to in not being selected.

Meanwhile, some supporters believe there are players in the squad who shouldn’t be.

We want to know what you think…
