Ex-Leigh Centre Danny Halliwell has re-joined the Centurions' ranks on an initial one month loan deal from Salford, and is expected to play at Doncaster on Sunday.

Halliwell spent three years with the Centurions, before leaving to join the City Reds at the end of last season.

Having played for several clubs including Halifax, Wakefield and Warrington, Halliwell is perhaps best remembered by Leigh fans for his brilliant Hat-Trick performance against St Helens, during the 2005 Super League X campaign.

He was a regular in the 2006 squad, and amassed 18 tries over the course of the season.

Football Manager Darren Shaw commented;

"Danny's a very welcome addition to the squad, he was training with us last night. He's greatly experienced, he runs great lines and is very aggressive in his attack."

"He's a prolific try scorer, and a great talker on the field."

"He knows the club well, he's been here before, and I'm hoping to put him straight into the squad on Sunday at Doncaster"
