Halifax boss eager to complete double

Halifax head coach Richard Marshall is hoping his team can complete a double when they visit Sheffield on Sunday.

Marshall’s team ran out 42-16 winners when the teams met earlier in the season, but he admits the Eagles have improved since then.

“It’d be fantastic if we could do that again, but I’m sure Sheffield will have something to say about that,” said Marshall.

“They’re a very different team now and they’re playing very well, especially at home. They’ve won their last couple of games and they’re well drilled, they know what they’re doing.

“It’ll be a tough game, we’ve got to be at our best, we can’t afford to drop off at all against them.

“Ultimately it’s about our performance and getting our form back that we’ve lost over the last couple of weeks.

“It’s a key game for us if we want to finish in the top four and it’s a very important game for Sheffield – they’ll want to win this game and continue their run.”
