Haggarty departs Halifax

Halifax have confirmed the departure of Matthew Haggarty without playing a game for the club.

The former St Helens forward’s signing was announced in October.

But Fax have stated that Haggarty will not be joining the club due to work commitments.

“Matt’s got some business commitments that mean he won’t be playing for anyone next season,” head coach Richard Marshall said.

“It’s nothing to do with pay cuts; he’s apparently been offered a work contract that involves a lot of time away from home.”

“We’ve got the option to retain his registration, which is something we’ll discuss.”
