Greg Bird and Taulima Tautai facing lengthy bans

Catalans star Greg Bird and Wigan forward Taulima Tautai are facing at least a couple of weeks on the sidelines.

The match review panel have issued Bird with a Grade D dangerous contact charge from their defeat at Wigan Warriors last week, but it has been referred to a tribunal.

Tautai has also been handed a Grade D dangerous contact from the same and like Bird, the case has been referred to a tribunal.

Leeds Rhinos forward Jordan Thompson has been handed a two-match penalty notice for a Grade C dangerous contact in their loss at Salford Red Devils.

Salford front-rower Lee Mossop has not been handed a penalty notice for a Grade A headbutt.

Hull Kingston Rovers star Maurice Blair has been given a Grade D charge for other contrary behaviour and the case has been referred to a tribunal.

Young KR star Will Oakes has been given a one-match ban for a Grade B trip.

Catalans’ Kenny Edwards and Widnes Vikings centre Krisnan Inu have received cautions from the match review panel for a high tackle and dangerous throw respectively.
