Green: We want more

Hull FC prop Chris Green says his side are hungry for more trophies next year.

Green was part of the 2016 side to lift the Challenge Cup for the first time at Wembley back in August.

“It was an unbelievable year and an absolute whirlwind,” he said.

“Having tasted success, it’s made me hungry to go on and hopefully win some more trophies.

“We’ve got a few friendlies to build up to the season and it can’t come round quick for me.”

The Black and Whites kick off their 2017 campaign away to Wakefield Trinity in February, but face Castleford Tigers, Hull Kingston Rovers, rugby league’s newest side Toronto Wolfpack, Salford Red Devils and Doncaster in pre-season.

“Pre-season’s been good, but it’s been tough as you’d expect it to be,” Green said.

“It’s been good to be back amongst the boys again and we’re all, myself included, really looking forward to the season starting now.

“The new guys have been mucking in well and they’ve all looked really good in pre-season training. They’ll all be good additions for the team I’m sure.”
