Hull FC have announced that they have terminated the contract of former Great Britain star Martin Gleeson.

The highly rated centre signed for the Black & Whites midway through the 2011 season after he was released by Wigan for a disciplinary offence.

The 31-year-old has previously had spells with Huddersfield, St Helens, Warrington and Wigan before Hull FC offered him a deal following his release from Wigan.

Commenting on the announcement, Hull CEO James Rule said “Hull FC have terminated the contract of Martin Gleeson. We thank him for his contribution to the club and wish him the best of luck in the future.”

Hull have also confirmed the departure of Luke Briscoe, Mike Burnett and Lee Williams.
