French round-up: Leaders Limoux topple winless Toulouse as Carcassonne crash in derby

Albi and Villeneuve battled out a thriller in a round 10 match that was brought forward to January 18th, winning 32-30.
Catalans feeder club St Esteve were 44-24 winners over St Gaudens, despite having a man sent off in the first half.
Bottom club Toulouse were boosted by three players from the club’s Championship side, but they were unable to inspire a change of fortunes, as they went down 52-6 to leaders Limoux.
Palau revived their play-off hopes with a fine 40-28 win over high-flying Avignon, while in the Audois derby, Carcassonne suffered a heavy 50-18 defeat at Lezignan and will need to relaunch their season if they are not to miss the top six.

Lyon couldn’t follow up their win over Toulon, as they shipped 11 tries in a 66-12 defeat to Pia, which included four from Mathias Marty.
Leaders Villefrance were 46-26 winners at Salon, who put in an encouraging display, and Lescure kept their play-off hopes alive with a 18-12 win over Ille.
Carpentras made hard work of their 30-19 win at bottom side Toulon, while Baho edged Entraigues 25-24, thanks to Nicolas Franck’s score.
