Paddy Jones and Frankie Halton have both signed deals with Swinton for 2019.

Back-rower Jones has signed a one-year deal with the Lions after impressing head coach Stuart Littler since he joined the club back in June.

The 21-year-old came through the Wigan Warriors academy and has scored one try in 12 games for the Lions.

On his new deal, Jones said: “I’m really happy to sign with a great bunch of lads.

“It was a tough season but I enjoyed it and learned a lot. I’m looking forward to next year.”

Front-rower Halton has also penned a one-year deal with Swinton and makes the step up to the Championship after helping Leigh Miners Rangers achieve promotion back to the National Conference Premier Division.

The former Crosfields junior has picked up representative honours with England Lions and has previously played for North Wales Crusaders.

On his move to Swinton, Halton said: “Thanks to Stuart for bringing me to Swinton Lions and for the opportunity.

“I am looking forward to getting stuck into pre-season and proving I can play at Championship level.”
