The BARLA Lions scheduled tour match on Saturday against a Fiji Bati Residents team will no longer take place.

Originally scheduled to play four games on the tour, the decision has been made to cancel the match at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka following discussions with the Fiji National Rugby League (FNRL due to issues with the high heat and humidity which could impact player welfare.

A statement said the BARLA management committee full supports the stance of the touring party.

The team will still be in action against the Australian Combined Affiliated States on Tuesday 20th November and against the Bati Residents on Friday 23rd November. In further dialogue between both the BARLA Tour Management and the FNRL, kick-off times have been set at 5.30pm local time (4.30am UK time), rather than the much earlier 1.30pm kick-off in the first game.
