Featherstone have revealed the final computerised images of their proposed development of the Bigfellas Stadium.

The proposal includes details of how the club will utilise two new stands, transported from Scarborough FC’s former McCain Stadium home, and has now been submitted to Wakefield Metropolitan District Council for planning permission approval.

As part of the plans, the pitch will be extended by 15 metres, with the two new stands being erected at the Railway End of the stadium.

Rovers CEO Craig Poskitt said: “We thought it was timely to reveal our final plans before our trip to Bloomfield Road. We are hoping to receive planning permission imminently and supporters have been waiting patiently for the final design. The plans were very well received and are an integral component of our Destination Super League Campaign.”

Featherstone will hope to celebrate this news with victory in the Northern Rail Cup final against Halifax, which takes place on Sunday at Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road.
