French international prop David Ferriol has signed a two-year contract extension with Catalans Dragons.

Ferriol, 31, has played 78 matches for the Dragons since his arrival from Limoux in 2007, establishing himself as one of the most consistent front-rowers in the competition.

Chairman Bernard Guasch said: “We are delighted to keep David at the club. He is a very experienced player and one of the key players in the team.”

Ferriol follows team-mates Frederic Vaccari, Sebastien Raguin and Vincent Duport in signing deals for next season and beyond.

Guasch added: “We are working hard with Trent Robinson to build a competitive squad for next Engage Super League season.”

Meanwhile, the club has also confirmed dual-registration deals with Toulouse for half-back pairing William Barthau and Tony Gigot.
