Featherstone bring in Ben Reynolds on loan

Featherstone have announced the signing of Wakefield half-back Ben Reynolds on a one-month loan deal.

The 25-year-old goal-kicker adds to Featherstone’s options at half-back, alongside Papua New Guinea internationals Watson and Ase Boas.

He played for Leigh Centurions in 2018 and scored more than 500 points during his time at the club. His arrival comes as Rovers await the return to full fitness of Tom Holmes, who has been sidelined since last year’s Summer Bash.

Reynolds is eligible to go straight into the squad for Sunday’s game against Sheffield Eagles at the LD Nutrition Stadium.

On the move, he said: “For me it’s just about getting out there and proving myself to Wakefield, Featherstone and everyone else.

“I hope I can come straight into the team this weekend. I’m ready to play and I’m raring to go.”

Rovers Head Coach Ryan Carr added: “He’s a really quality player with a lot of experience in Super League and the Championship, so I’m excited to get to work with him.

“His direction and leadership will be huge for us and his knowledge of this competition will help the other players in team.”
