Wigan v Castleford: Warriors prop Ethan Havard in line to return

Wigan prop Ethan Havard is in line to make his first appearance of the season on Thursday when the Warriors welcome Castleford to the DW Stadium. 

Wigan coach Matt Peet has made two changes to his side that lost 28-0 at Catalans on Saturday. Brad Singleton will miss the next two games against Castleford and Salford due to suspension.

Prop Kaide Ellis has been referred to tribunal following his Grade E notice following a punch-up with Catalans counterpart Jordan Dezaria. Bulgaria-born prop Havard and outside-back Sam Halsall come into the squad.

Ollie Partington, Harry Smith, Brad O’Neill and Abbas Miski could return for Wigan after missing out on the matchday squad last week.

Meanwhile, Castleford coach Lee Radford has made two changes to his squad that lost 36-24 at Huddersfield on Saturday.

Jamaica international Jordan Turner will have a spell on the sidelines after suffering a fractured hand. Youngster Sam Hall makes way for George Griffin who is back in contention following a slight injury. The Tigers will also welcome back USA international Bureta Faraimo following his two-match suspension.

The Super League round six fixture takes place at the DW Stadium on Thursday (8pm), live on Sky Sports.

The sixth round draw for the Challenge Cup has been made. Wigan have been drawn at home to fellow Super League side Salford. Castleford face a trip to Headingley as they face rivals Leeds in a West Yorkshire derby.
