Dixon set for return

Kirk Dixon will make his long-awaited return to action following shoulder surgery when the Castleford face Huddersfield Giants at the PROBIZ Coliseum on Friday (8pm kick-off).

Dixon, who will start on the wing, required a shoulder reconstruction following a season-ending injury sustained in the Carmegie Challenge Cup Semi Final in August.

The club’s Back of the Year 2011 is joined by the club’s Forward of the Year 2011 Jake Emmitt (knee) in returning to action as part of a 22-man squad which includes no less than 18 other first team squad members including Man of Steel Rangi Chase and club captain Danny Orr.

The two other players included are young centres Ryan Shaw (loan, Warrington) and Josh Atkinson who impressed Millward in a two-try performance on Boxing Day.

New signing Josh Griffin keeps his place in the centres having also impressed with two tries on Boxing Day.
