Dewsbury land former Hunslet forward

Dewsbury have signed loose forward Liam Mackay for the 2019 season.

The 28-year-old has previously spent time with Hunslet and will bring a wealth of experience to the Rams.

On joining the Rams, Mackay said: “I have been playing at Hunslet for the last five or six years and I got the call off Lee [Greenwood] to come here, so I jumped at the chance to test myself in the Championship.

“I played a couple of games at this level in 2012 and also when Hunslet got promoted in 2014, however, I think this is the right time again to test myself in the Championship.

“It is a good progression for me, and to come to a club like Dewsbury with a lot of tradition and history will be a good club to be at.”
