David Furner and Craig Sandercock join Canterbury Bulldogs’ backroom staff

David Furner and Craig Sandercock have been appointed assistant coaches of NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs from 2021.

Furner was head coach of Super League club Leeds in 2019, winning five from 15 matches before parting ways with the Rhinos in the same season.

Sandercock has also spent time coaching in Super League, having coached Hull KR between 2012-14. He won 31 games out of 77 while in charge at the Robins.

David Tangata-Toa has been appointed as transition coach at Canterbury, with Mick Potter being head coach of Mounties.

Furner and Sandercock will work as assistants to head coach Trent Barrett at the Bulldogs next year.
